Acoustic performance

The superb acoustic performance of Isonat helps to substantially surpass the requirments of the Building Regulations.

The high density of Isonat (35kg/m3) combined with sound damping properties of natural fibres results in superb acoustic performance. Tests with Isonat on standard wall build-ups demonstrate that Isonat helps builders to surpass the sound performance requirements detailed in Approved Document E.

For example, the required sound reduction performance of a stud partition wall is 40 RwdB. By incorporating Isonat a sound reduction of 45 RwdB is achieved.
